N.C. school supports heritage languages with immersion

The dual-language programs at Allen Jay Elementary School use a 50/50 model, with half the day’s lessons taught in English and the other half in either Spanish or Urdu. This approach at the immersion school in High Point, N.C., supports students in developing proficiency in both their native and target languages.
