Instagram will use artificial intelligence to identify teens who register with adult birthdates, redirecting them to age-appropriate accounts with safety features. The move comes as Meta faces lawsuits, including from California, over inadequate protection for minors. Instagram says the vast majority of users ages 13 to 15 have opted into teen accounts.
