Ellen Pompeo officially has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and her family was there to celebrate her special moment.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” star had a slew of supporters attending the April 29 ceremony, including “Grey’s” creator Shonda Rhimes and actor Debbie Allen. Both praised Pompeo in their speeches before the big star reveal.
Among the guests of honor were the actor and producer’s husband, Chris Ivery, and two of their three children; daughter Stella, 15, and son Eli, 8. The couple is also parents to daughter Sienna, 10, who was not at the ceremony.
While delivering her speech, Pompeo gave her children in attendance a sweet shout-out.
“I love you, Stella, I love you, Eli,” she said.

She also called her husband, whom she’s been married to since 2007, “handsome.”
Pompeo also praised all the stars in front and behind the scenes who she has worked with over the course of her successful career.
The family then posed together in front of her newly-revealed star. Stella opted for polka dot dress, while Eli looked dapper in a navy suit.
Other celebrities in attendance included Scott Speedman and James Pickens.
Her “Good American Family” co-stars Christina Hendricks and Sarayu Blue were also at the event.

Pompeo led “Grey’s Anatomy” for decades, and the show is currently on its 21st season with no end in sight. While the medical drama has been a major part of her life and career, the mother of three recently spoke about her younger daughter wanting to see her work on the show and deciding that she’s not ready.
“My 15-year-old has seen it and now my 10-year-old wants to see it, which, she’s not ready, but a lot of kids in her class have seen it,” Pompeo told Jimmy Kimmel on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in March.
She explained that she isn’t ready for her Sienna to watch her in sticky situations, including being in her underwear.
“No judgment on other parents, but I don’t want my daughter to see me in my underwear on television just yet, but all her classmates have, so!” she said. “That makes for great conversation at pickup.”
Pompeo has kept her children mostly out of the public eye, yet will share some photos of them on her social media. Sienna made a rare public appearance in February 2023 during New York Fashion Week.
