Camille Razat Confirms ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 5 Exit, Hints As To Whether She’ll Return


Camille Razat is saying “au revoir” to “Emily in Paris.”

The French actor, who portrayed Camille on the series, confirmed that she is leaving the Netflix show ahead of its fifth season. In an April 23 Instagram post filled with photos from her time on the show, Razat, 31, wrote that “after an incredible journey,” she’s made the decision to step away.

Razat called being on the show as a “truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

She thanked creator Darren Star, as well we Netflix and Paramount for the chance to bring Camille to life, noting that they left “the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of ‘Emily In Paris’ world.”

“This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons,” she continued, explaining that she recently wrapped two other shows “Nero” for Netflix and “Les Disparues de la Gare” for Disney+.

She also shared that she launched her own production company, Tazar, which produces music videos and short films for now.

“But we’re currently developing our first feature film, something I’m truly passionate about and excited to grow,” she wrote.

Razat noted that she leaves “Emily In Paris” with nothing but love and admiration for the cast, crew and fans.

“Thank you for the beautiful ride,” she concluded.

A number of “Emily in Paris” stars commented on Razat’s post, including leading lady Lily Collins.

“Love you sister. It’s been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure. You’re a rockstar. So proud of you,” Collins wrote.

Ashley Park, who portrays Mindy, wrote, “love you so much, always proud of you.”

Lucien Laviscount, who has confirmed that he is returning to the show as Alfie on his Instagram, commented, “From day one you’ve been my rider on this show. Your passion for story telling, your dark sense of humour, your unwavering ability to stay true to yourself, when everything’s pushing you in a different direction.”

Continuing, “You’re special Camille and I feel absolutely honoured to of been able to dance with you these past seasons. Keep on shining. I’m going to miss laughing with you. I’m cheering you on in everything you do.”

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and Bruno Gouery also left sweet notes.

In Season 4 of “Emily in Paris,” Camille and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) attempted to rekindle their romance while he believed that she was still pregnant.

She later confesses to Gabriel that she is not pregnant and revives, then ends, her romance with Greek artist Sofia (Melia Kreiling). At the end, Camille plans on adopting a baby.

A premiere date for Season 5 of “Emily in Paris” has yet to be announced.
